It’s official: LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball are going pro and going together.
That’s because yesterday the Ball Boys agreed to a one-year deal with Lithuanian team Prienu Vytautas club in the Lithuanian league (LKL).
They will report to the team in early January.
Vytautas, as you know, won the Lithuanian championship last year... what you didn’t. I guess you don’t get ESPN 8 “The Ocho.”
“We engaged in serious talks with several teams, and Vytautas made the most sense as LaMelo and LiAngelo work to develop as professionals and set a foundation for their careers,” agent Harrison Gaines sald. “It was critical to find a situation in a competitive league that works with both of their short- and long-term goals.”
At any rate, they did and so the Balls are leaving their loser of a third-rate father for a winner of third-rate basketball league as the team apparently offered the kind of flexibility and promise of minutes the Balls were looking for.
