The Cleveland Indians are avoiding arbitration with pitcher Dan Otero after signing him to a two-year contract. The deal includes a club option in 2020. Otero went 3-and-0 with a 2.85 ERA in 52 appearances last season with the Tribe. He was 5-and-1 with a 1.53 ERA in 62 games in 2016. The 32-year-old right-hander has posted a 20-and-7 record and a 2.91 ERA over his six-year career.
