Chip Kelly Named New UCLA Football Coach

UCLA has found its next football coach.  The university announced this morning that Chip Kelly will become the leader of the university's football program.  Kelly will replace Jim Mora Jr., who was fired last Sunday after spending six seasons with the team.

The Florida Gators were also considering making Kelly their head football coach.  The 54-year-old Kelly has previously coached college football at Oregon, going 46-and-7 from 2009 to 2012.

He also was fired from two NFL jobs in the past two years.  Kelly was fired from the San Francisco 49ers in January after one season.  His NFL record is 28-and-35 over four total season in the NFL, spending three years in Philadelphia.
