DeShone Kizer Vows Not To Be A Distraction After Partying Incident

On Monday, DeShone Kizer acknowledged being spotted at a downtown Cleveland Bar in the early hours of Saturday morning looked bad.

I mean, not as bad as he looked the following day when he threw two picks and completed just 12 of 20 passes for 114 yards before being benched… again…this time in favor of Cody Kessler.

Of course, considering he went into the game throwing three picks for every TD—the interceptions weren’t as much of a surprise as the video

Well, Kizer seems to have learned his lesson after he promised yesterday that wouldn’t continue to be a distraction for the 0-7 team.

“It is on me to make sure that, from here on out, I am not a distraction and I am only an asset to this team,” Kizer said. “Not a guy that is pulling away from the ultimate goal.”

Multiple videos surfaced courtesy of several Cleveland media outlets showing Kizer out late at a bar. Browns head coach Hue Jackson has insisted players should be allowed to have a social life, so long as it doesn’t violate the law or team rules. But he cautions players about the risks of such situations, especially in the age of social media.

Guessing they would’ve found out eventually when they were watching game tape of a third and long play when Kizer accidentally called for an Irish Car Bomb.

Anyway, Coach Jackson has stated Kizer’s night out won’t impact who starts against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday in London, although he declined to say who will get the nod just yet.

If Kizer does get the nod, you know he will be on the shortest of leashes.

On false step and you may here Jackson scream, “Last Call.”
