Indians Pitching Coach Mick Callaway To Be Mets' New Manager

Another coaching change in the MLB although in this one, it wasn’t a question of if Terry Collins would be replaced by the Mets, but simply who would do it.

And now we know that it will be former Cleveland Indians pitching coach Mickey Callaway that will be the new manager of the New York Mets.

Callaway will replace Collins, who stepped down as manager to take a position in the team's front office, after a second straight disappointing seasons by the Mets, who finished 70-92 just two years after playing in the World Series.

Which is why replacing Collins as manger makes sense.

Promoting Collins to a front office job—not so much.
