In news that won’t surprise you, the Cleveland Browns lost again yesterday this time falling to the to the Titans 12-9 in overtime. It was an ugly game in which neither team found the end zone and for the second time in as many starts, Kizer found himself benched—this time in favor of Cody Kessler.
But here’s the thing—it wasn’t the game tape opponents will study of this game that is going to hurt DeShone Kizer as much as the footage his coach Hue Jackson heard about after it.
Jackson got unpleasant surprise in his postgame news conference yesterday when a reporter from a local news station made him aware of video of Kizer at a bar in the early hours of Saturday morning—and he did not seem happy to learn about it simply responding:
“Thank you for sharing that with me”
So what did Kizer have to say in his defense?
"I was out. I was at the facility the next day. I'm not here to talk about my personal life"
Thing is DeShone, if you want people to talk about the game, have a game worth talking about.
Instead of staying out til the wee hours that leads to another terrible game and a second straight benching—which is all people have to talk about when discussing the Browns.
