Indians' Brantley Out At Least Four Months After Ankle Surgery

Cleveland Indians All-Star outfielder Michael Brantley is recovering from right ankle surgery.

The team announced he had ligaments stabilized in the ankle and will need at least four months before he can resume baseball activities.

Brantley suffered the injury in August and was limited the rest of the season and postseason.

The 30-year-old hit .299 with nine home runs and 52 RBI in 90 games.

The Indians hold a 12-million-dollar club option on Brantley for 2018.
