Wow—this is gonna leave a mark.
And by that, I mean blemish on Albright College.
That’s because the Division III school has cut Sophomore QB Gyree Durante for kneeling during the national anthem.
The backup QB took a knee before Saturday's game, saying afterwards that he was "taught you fight for what you believe in and you don't bow to anyone."
In defense of the school—what little there is considering I double checked and this college I never heard of is indeed located here in America in Pennsylvania—you know—the birthplace of the Constitution!!!
Anyways, the school says Durante was cut because he violated a team decision to show unity by kneeling during the coin toss, but standing during the anthem.
The school says the players understood there could be consequences for anyone that doesn’t support the team's decision.
Yeah, sounds like the school made sure everyone agreed that they had no choice.
