The Washington Redskins were hitting at an All-Madden level Monday night. Josh Norman absolutely leveled Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce midway through the second quarter to break up a pass.
And while it may have looked like a cheap shot, it was actually just a clean, hard-nosed hit.
And if you don’t want to take my word for it, take Kelce’s.
Because Kelce, always the competitor, bounced up and applauded the shot by Norman.
Thing is, it was one of Norman’s last highlights for a while after he collided with a teammate late in the second quarter and left the game. Early reports say he will be sidelined several weeks.
That is way more painful.
