Age really is nothing but a number to Jack Stares. The 101-year-old is believed to be Britain’s oldest biker and he still rides through his neighborhood every day on his Yamaha 125 scooter.
Stares first started riding 97 years ago and has had his motorcycle license renewed 10 times since turning 70, so he can keep riding. And he plans on renewing it once again next year.
"I still get the same thrill from my scooter now as I got when I first started riding and when I had big powerful bikes," he says. "I get excited about going to the shops because it means I get the feeling of being on the road again. There's a true feeling of freedom."
