Lindor Homers As Indians Earn 27th Win In 28 Games

It was just a week ago today that the Indians fell to the Royals by a score Indians 4-3 ending the longest win streak in a century at 22 games.

Thing is, they haven’t lost since that game.

Which is why—after shortstop Francisco Lindor’s three-run homer to break a 1-1 tie last night and give the Indians to a 4-1 victory—Cleveland has now won a staggering 27 of their last 28 games.

Which brings us to the next century old record they are closing in on—the most victories with only one loss. And that would be 29, set by everyone’s favorite team, the Providence Grays in 1884.

Come Monday, anyone else have a feeling it will be 30 of 31?
