#GoodNews: Baby Born During Irma Gets The Perfect Name

It’s no easy being pregnant and certainly isn’t easy to be alone when you give birth. Cara Kesling was not only alone, but she had to deliver her baby herself…during Hurricane Irma.

The Florida woman called for help, but ambulance crews were too tied up responding to Irma rescues. Instead, a dispatcher walked her through the process on the phone. Let that soak in. No hospital, no doctor. No epidural!

And that is how Nayiri Storm Kesling was born! Mom and baby were fine and Miami-Dade emergency workers were able to transport them to the hospital later that morning.
