Jane Fine Foster had spent 14 years searching for her mom’s vintage wedding photos from her 1948 wedding after they were lost due to the family missing a payment on their storage unit. She made calls and tried to track down the family heirlooms, but never found them.
Then one day, the Colorado woman was shopping in Grand Junction when she spotted her mom’s wedding pictures in the window of an antique shop. She couldn’t believe her eyes! Foster talked to the owner and found out she had also purchased a wedding gown when she bought those photos and it turned out to be her late mother’s.
“She touched this fabric and I can touch it now and think of her,” Foster says. “This is a symbol, a message from her that she is okay.”
