An Idaho second-grader has taught a lot of adults what giving really means.
Amiah Van Hill goes to Hayden Meadows Elementary School and was inspired to do something special by hearing about kids at other schools being shamed for having lunch money debt.
Amiah, who is 6-years-old, decided to raise money to pay for her schoolmates lunches. “Every kid at school needs lunch, so that’s my way of helping,” 6-year-old Amiah told InsideEdition.com. That’s why she and her younger sister set up a “Lemonade 4 Lunch” stand. They quickly raised forty bucks which was enough to pay the debt.
Then Amiah thought bigger and decided to pay off the debt of the entire school district! Proud mom Rachel explained “She wanted to donate the money to make sure no child gets left behind with eating.” Aiming high, the girl chose to raise 23-thousand dollars. With only 600 collected by the end of summer, Amiah turned to GoFundMe.
Despite only having raised 32-hundred dollars there so far, the second grader says she won’t stop until she meets her goal. If you want to help this generous little lady, check here.
