Ezekiel Elliot may be playing this Sunday in Dallas, but I’ll tell you who won’t be playing this Sunday in Miami.
Yup – and neither will the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their regular-season opener scheduled for this Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium has been canceled due to the threat of Hurricane Irma.
The new location of the game?
At least according to ESPN who reports the game will most likely be played on November 19th when both teams have a bye week.
Makes sense although the NFL has yet to announce an official decision. What have they said?
"The league will continue to examine other options, including playing the game this Sunday at a neutral site or in Miami later this season, and will provide an update on that decision as soon as possible.”
Those neutral sites would be Pittsburgh and Philadelphia should the teams try to play this week.
Oh wow—please play in Philly.
You don’t think those fans would sell out that stadium just to be able to yell “You suck” at every single player on the field.
Come to think of it, they pretty much do that every Sunday, but at least they’d have an extra one.
In any case, that decision is expected to come later today.
