You may never have heard of Stacy Lewis before, but after I tell you this, you may never forget her.
See the reason you probably never heard of her is because she had never won an LPGA tournament in her last 82 starts.
But the reason you’ll never forget her is because when she snapped that streak with a win in the LPGA’s Cambia Portland Classic on Sunday, she celebrated her first-ever win as a pro by donating entire $195,000 in winnings to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Lewis grew up in the Houston area, attending The Woodlands High School in Woodlands, Texas. She has previously tweeted that both her home and family managed to survive the disaster relatively unscathed.
And it’s nice to see she ended her drought by donating to a city that is a completely opposite state.
