What better way to send off summer than with a massive sandcastle? A German man decided to take his building skills to the next level and ended up created the world’s highest sandcastle, standing at just under 55-feet.
It took him 35-hundred tons of sand and three-and-a-half weeks to create the castle, which is decorated with sand models of tourist attractions such as Athens’ Acropolis, Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The mammoth sandcastle, located in the city of Duisburg, is supposed to stand until at least September 24th.
