FSU's Deondre Francois Out For Season With Knee Injury

If ever there was a way to illustrate a team’s season collapsing before it even started, look no further than the Florida State Seminoles Saturday Night.

Number three Florida State began its season against number one ranked Alabama and (if they can take a win away for the game) they are easily in the driver’s seat to start the season.

But instead, they not only lost the game and the three seed 24-7, but they also lost starting quarterback Deondre Francois late in the fourth quarter.

And now we know that Francois suffered a patellar tendon injury that will require season-ending surgery this week.

And instead of the driver’s seat, they’re in the doghouse as now the offense is in the hands of true freshman quarterback James Blackman.
