The Cavaliers and Celtics have finally put the finishing touches on their blockbuster deal.
Boston is adding the Heat's 2020 second-round pick to complete the trade that will land them Cleveland point guard Kyrie Irving.
The additional pick was necessary because of concerns surrounding guard Isaiah Thomas' hip, who goes to the Cavs along with Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and the Nets' 2018 first-round selection unprotected.
Thomas might not be ready for the start of the season, but told ESPN he'd eventually return to his old form. The diminutive star guard is entering a contract season.
