If you’ve been watching the NFL preseason to see some starts in some hard-hitting action then you’ve been wasting your time.
NFL stars are avoiding contact as much as possible in the preseason.
But not MLB stars, who are in a very heated pennant chase right now.
And let’s just say that heat reached a boiling point in yesterday’s New York-Detroit game that looked less like a Yankees-Tigers game than it did a Giants-Lions matchup.
That’s because the game featured three brawls—including this kerfuffle that was started courtesy of Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera and Yankees catcher Austin Romine wrestled on the ground near home plate during the first of the three bench-clearing altercations.
When the smoke had cleared, five players, both managers and one Yankees' bench coach were tossed—guessing that coach was a swing doctor.
Oh yeah, Detroit left with 10-6 victory, and--what I’m guessing-- will be the best fight we’re going to see in the next four days.
