Remember two weeks ago when I told you that Cleveland Browns QB Brock Osweiler said he feels he’s better than ever?
Yeah, well apparently, that’s not what they think in Cleveland.
At least not head coach Hue Jackson.
He doesn’t even think Osweiler’s better than someone who’s never played in the NFL before.
Which is why Jackson named rookie DeShone Kizer the starting quarterback for their third preseason game saying the former Notre Dame signal-caller is "certainly positioning himself well to earn the starting job heading into the regular season.''
"I think he's gotten better each and every week," Jackson said late last night. "He's showing the characteristics that I look for in a quarterback."
So where does that leave Osweiler?
Apparently, back on the trading block – as the team has renewed their attempt to trade the veteran QB.
Yeah good luck with that, Osweiler, who is due a guaranteed salary of $16-million for 2017 and has played four series this preseason scoring zero points going 12 of 22 passes for 67 yards.
Do the math – that’s three 3-yards per attempt.
Wow, he’s not even a good running back.
Something tells me Brock better start dolling up that resume.
I wonder if “thrifty passer” will be an eye catcher?
