Two Eastern Conference powers are making a big swap.
Jeff Goodman ESPN reports the Cavaliers and Celtics have agreed to a trade that sends guard Kyrie Irving to Boston.
Cleveland gets guard Isaiah Thomas, forward Jae Crowder, center Ante Zizic and a 2018 draft pick in return.
The 25-year-old Irving requested to be traded from the Cavaliers in July.
Irving averaged 25.2 points and 5.8 assists with Cleveland last season.
The 28-year-old Thomas averaged 28.9 points and 5.9 assists with Boston while also dealing with the death of his sister in an April car accident.
