He's the real deal now, but once upon a time Donald Trump was in talks to play the President in the TV movie "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!"
That's according to David Latt, co-founder of The Asylum, a company known for low budget movies like "Snakes On A Train" and "Titanic 2." Latt tells "The Hollywood Reporter" that Trump was "thrilled" to be asked back in early 2015. But then the New York billionaire decided to make an actual run for the White House and the rest is history. They ended up casting fellow billionaire and Trump critic Mark Cuban instead.
As for the "Sharknado" franchise, you can catch the fifth installment - "Sharknado 5: Global Swarming" when it airs this Sunday on SyFy.
