Zac Brown brought a smile and a little hope to a 17-year-old fan who was severely injured in a car crash last month.
Thomas Schoettle was supposed to see Zac Brown Band’s concert in Camden, New Jersey this past weekend, but last month he was in a car accident that left him paralyzed from a fractured neck and bruised spinal cord, making the concert out of the question.
Hoping to lift Thomas’ spirits, a family friend posted a plea on ZBB’s Facebook page to see if Zac could possibly take time out of his busy schedule to pay Thomas a visit, and, in case you missed it, the singer did just that.
Zac wound up visiting with Thomas for about an hour, chatting with him and then giving him hats, a T-shirt and a signed album. He also gave Thomas a card for a free show when he’s all healed up next year, which will allow him to come up on stage with Zac. He notes, “The concert gives me motivation to get better.”
