After her father passed away, Allyson Eischens of Sartell, Minnesota didn’t have anyone to walk her down the aisle. But her late father’s best friend, Chris Roose, surprised her just before the wedding and gave her away at the wedding.
Roose had been a father figure to Eischens after her dad died, so he was a logical choice to stand in for her father at the nuptials. But when his wife was left bedridden after an accident, he said he couldn’t make the trip from his Florida home.
But the groom, Garrett Eischens, bought Roose a ticket and convinced him to make the trip, even though he’s terrified of flying. As the nervous bride was about to walk down the aisle with Roose, he squeezed her hand and reassured her, saying, “We got this.”
