CLEVELAND, OH--- The Browns defense showed why they're ranked number 1 in the NFL, shutting out the visiting Arizona Cardinals Sunday afternoon 27-0. We would also see the return of QB Deshaun Watson in the lineup after battling a shoulder injury for the majority of the season, Watson looked to feel closer to and if not 100% throwing for 219 yards on 18 completions, connecting with Amari Cooper for a couple deep throws. Cooper totaled 139 yards receiving with a TD.

The Browns defense is the big story of the game, allowing just 58 total yards, the Cardinals offense averaged about a yard a play. The defense also had 3 takeaways, 2 interceptions and a strip sack from Shelby Harris. Denzel Ward got the first interception, making a very athletic play to reach up and snag his second of the season, and Sione Takitaki got the second. The Browns also had a whopping 7 sacks of rookie QB Clayton Tune. The game itself was extremely physical as well, we would witness the unfortunate scene of left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr being carted off after a possible ankle or knee injury. Other players that left the field included Dawad Jones and Amari Cooper, who were on the sideline shortly after getting shaken up, those weren't the only, as the trainers for both sides were on the field more time then we would've liked to see. There is currently no news on Wills' injury, follow the latest on WTAM.com. The Browns rushing attack was in full force as well, getting 119 yards on the ground, with Kareem Hunt scoring a touchdown to ice the game with 7:48 left.

The Browns are still 3rd in the division, but will have a huge game in Baltimore next Sunday at 1pm. Be sure to tune in to the Draft Kings Countdown to Kickoff show starting at 10 am. Listen live on WTAM 1100 AM, 106.9 FM, the free iHeartRadio app, and HERE
