Jane’s Addiction has settled its legal disputes following an onstage altercation in Boston in September 2024. The Superior Court of California dismissed the lawsuits, marking the end of the legal battle between band members Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins.

The conflict began when Farrell allegedly attacked Navarro during a performance, leading to the cancellation of their reunion tour. In July 2025, Navarro, Avery, and Perkins filed a $10 million lawsuit against Farrell, accusing him of assault, battery, and breach of contract, among other claims. Farrell denied the allegations and sought to have the lawsuit dismissed.

The settlement comes after Farrell issued a public apology on Instagram, acknowledging his behavior and expressing regret for the incident. "I apologize to our patrons and my bandmates for losing my temper and for disrupting the show," he wrote. The band also issued a statement expressing regret for making "inaccurate statements about Perry’s mental health."

The settlement coincides with the band's announcement of their split. "Jane’s Addiction will forever live in our hearts," the band stated, adding that they are proud of the music they created together. The band members are now looking forward to pursuing separate musical and creative endeavors.
