Jimmy Fallon is apologizing to his staff after a “Rolling Stone” article alleged he created a toxic environment for people working on “The Tonight Show.”
Fallon held a Zoom meeting with employees after the story broke yesterday and reportedly said he felt really bad and never intended to create that type of environment.
Since the story was published, NBC has also issued a statement expressing pride in the show and stressing that anytime an employee has issues, they are encouraged to come forward.
Meanwhile, Jerry Seinfeld has quickly responded to the “idiotic twisting” of events by two of the complaining employees.
Seinfeld shot down the recounting of an “uncomfortable” incident during which Fallon allegedly publicly “scolded” a crew member who flubbed a simple task while taping a segment with the legendary sitcom star.
Seinfeld says “This is so stupid. I remember this moment quite well… I teased Jimmy about a flub, and we all had a fun laugh about how rarely Jimmy is thrown off. It was not uncomfortable at all. Jimmy and I still occasionally recall it and laugh. Idiotic twisting of events.”
