Peter Frampton Announces Farewell Tour

Classic rock icon and live album innovator Peter Frampton is about to call it a career.

Frampton announced his Peter Frampton Finale — The Farewell Tour Friday morning in a press release.

The legendary guitarist and singer songwriter has plotted an extensive North American tour of amphitheaters and theaters to celebrate his retirement, beginning in June 18 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and ending in October 12 in San Francisco.

Beginning his career as the frontman of the Herd in the '60s and then the guitarist for Humble Pie in the early '70s, Frampton went solo in 1972 and found breakthrough success with his Frampton Comes Alive! album of '76. Frampton's hits like "Show Me the Way," "Do You Feel Like We Do?" and "Baby, I Love Your Way" have remained staples of his set in the decades since.
