Magical Theatre Company presents the Ohio premiere of The Amazing Lemonade Girl along with lemonade stands after every performance! Barberton, OH – September 20, 2022:
Magical Theatre Company, Northeast Ohio’s original professional resident and touring theatre for young audiences and families, opens the season with the Ohio premiere of The Amazing Lemonade Girl.
Alex Scott has a story to tell – about her life and her legacy, her humor and her very big heart. This is the inspiring story of a young girl fiercely determined to make a difference. Based on the book Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand written by Alex and her parents, this truly uplifting play illustrates how a single person can change the world one act, or even one cup, at a time. Watch as her noble efforts inspire donations of over $1 million dollars! Her efforts created a charitable foundation – Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation - that has raised over $250 million and funded over 1,000 medical research projects.
Holly Barkdoll, director of The Amazing Lemonade Girl, calls it an honor to direct this play. She said, “Alex Scott’s goal of helping kids and hospitals ‘one cup at a time,’ truly illustrates a most important life lesson: We can always - and should always - do more to help others.” Barkdoll is delighted to be working again with award winning playwright James DeVita. Following every performance there will be a lemonade stand and all proceeds will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The Amazing Lemonade Girl runs October 14 through 23 and is most enjoyed by families ages 8 and up. Public Performances are Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00pm at 565 W.
