Sources say the Big Ten is looking at several domed stadium sites for hosting games during a possible winter football season.
OSU Athletic Director Gene Smith confirmed reports that the conference was exploring using domed stadiums in Indianapolis, St. Louis, Detroit, Minneapolis, and even Syracuse, New York to hold games.
The closest domed stadium to Ohio State is Lucas Oil Stadium, which is approximately three hours from Columbus in Indianapolis.
The Buckeyes have played at Lucas Oil Stadium in the Big Ten Championship Game five times since 2011 and are 4-1 in those contests.
