Big Ten Officials are scrambling to get ahead of reports from Monday saying they had voted to postpone the 2020 football season.
The conference denied reports that an official vote had been held with all but Iowa and Nebraska in favor of moving fall sports to next spring.
Sources later confirmed the vote to postpone had been held by medical representatives from the schools and was to be taken as a recommendation.
A vote of that measure would need to come from University Presidents who have not released the date of their next meeting.
