Former NBA Champion JR Smith is taking full responsibility for beating up a man accused of vandalizing his truck during violent civil unrest in Los Angeles.
Smith says the man broke a window on his truck so he chased him down.
Cellphone video from the scene shows the ex-Cleveland Cavalier punching and kicking the man while he's laying on the ground.
Smith says it had nothing to do with the man being white.
