Panthers Agree To Deal With Bridgewater, Tell Cam He Can Seek Trade

The Panthers are ready to move on without quarterback Cam Newton.

Multiple reports say they have agreed to a three-year, 63-million-dollar contract with free agent Teddy Bridgewater.

Carolina gave Newton permission earlier in the day to seek a trade, one he says he didn't ask for.

Bridgewater went 5-and-0 as a starter backing up the Saints' Drew Brees last season.
