The new Joker movie has some fans excited for it's release and other fans calling for it's head. The movie, which stars Joaquin Phoenix, takes place outside of the tradional DC cinematic universe and is a one off, but the problem fans are complaining about is the relationship between The Joker and his nemisis, Batman. Rumor has it that the movie will make the two related, which has Batman fans losing their minds. While I understand a desire to stay close to the source material, the beef between the Bat and the Clown has been retold so many times, in so many fashions, it seems silly to cry about canon in a one off movie.
