The 12-year-old is filling in for Korn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu who, at the last minute, was unable to go on the tour due to "unforeseen circumstances," according to the band.
The younger Trujillo is a bass prodigy, and based on footage coming out from recent shows, is more than capable of replicating Fieldy's unique bass tone.
"My son is an amazing bass player and a really great writer," the elder Trujillo told the Huffington Post regarding Tye in 2016. "He's coming up with stuff on his own, but he's also been influenced by players like Jaco Pastorius, but also Miles Davis or Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin. We even listen to bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Tool. He's like a sponge."
Tye reportedly starting playing guitar at age six.
"It's a beautiful thing to see him confident in what he does," Trujillo added in an interview with Today Online.
Korn says Fieldy will rejoin them when they return to tour the United States in May. See their full tour dates here.
